NEW DRUMMING SCHOOL COMES TO BANBURY
MaxRock is a brand new drumming school coming to Banbury, opening its doors on 12th June 2018.
The school will offer a range of classes suitable for beginners to students who are more advanced, and will focus on Rock, Pop, Indie and R&B music. With group classes available between 15:45pm and 20:45pm every day and 1-2-1 lessons available upon request, there is something for everyone, depending on their preferred learning style.
Partnering with Trinity Rock & Pop, MaxRock will offer ground-breaking rock and pop exams that provide an opportunity for developing aspiring musicians to gain recognised qualifications. Pupils will perform carefully chosen and specially arranged well known songs from a range of rock and pop genres, as well as innovative ‘session skills’ tests.
Candidates can study for grades 1-8, and the higher grades also qualify for UCAS points. MaxRock’s unique teaching method ‘learn, play, record’ means each pupil is periodically video recorded so they can not only develop their performing skills, but so they can also share their progress with friends and family. The school also offers APPS for your mobile phone or tablet, which allows pupils to practice songs at home, but also without drums so pupils can get the full experience of what it’s like to learn and play as part of a band.
Jordan Smith for Maxrock, comments: “I have been teaching drums since I qualified from the Academy of Contemporary Music in 2011 and get a great buzz from seeing students of all ages progress. I have also taught your people with learning difficulties and seen them develop through their enjoyment of music. It’s been a great ambition of mine to start my own school and I’m vert excited to be opening the first one£99 in Banbury.”
Maxrock are currently offering a free trial to all new students, which includes a set of MaxRock drumsticks and a free course book.
